Flat top pistons in a 446 Ford engine will generally provide compression ratios in the 13.25:1 (61cc head) range which makes them a good option for engines with aluminum heads and larger than stock camshafts. They also work well in heads with larger combustion chambers. Valve reliefs are configured to work with most types of standard and aluminum cylinder heads and will normally fit camshafts to slightly over .600 valve lift.
