SCAT Pro Stock rods are a lightweight I-Beam design with a single rib rod cap for added strength and bearing support. They provide the maximum strength possible at a very reasonable price. SCAT I-Beam Forged Steel rods are recommended for engines in bracket, oval track, and almost all street and strip applications.

SCAT H-Beam Rods are precision forged of select 4340 aircraft quality steel,vacuum degassed to remove impurities. They are forged in two pieces to insure proper grain flow, then all surfaces are CNC machined into a track proven H-Beam design and shot-peened to relieve stress. Silicon Bronze bushings are then installed for increased wear resistance and precision ground alignment sleeves are added to the rod cap to prevent cap walk under high horsepower loads.

This line of SCAT connecting rods is made from 2-piece 4340 forgings and come with a special doweled cap that is profiled for stroker applications to ensure proper clearance. The rods come with 1.4-inch 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws with an ARP 2000 upgrade available. Current applications for the Chevy small-block include lengths of 6.000- and 6.125-inch with a 1.888-inch bearing; 5.700-, 5.850-, 6.000- and 6.125-inch (newest model) lengths with a 2.000-inch bearing; and 6.000- and 6.125-inch lengths with a 2.100-inch bearing.
