Based on Dart engine blocks, 4340 forged steel internally balanced crankshafts, and application specific connecting rods and piston/pin combinations. Also standard are ring sets featuring Nitrided Steel Tops with Napier Seconds and flow vent style oil rings added to high performance engine bearings. Whether you are planning a high winding naturally aspirated engine or going for a boosted monster, VPE has the combination you need to endure the load.

VPE Chevrolet Short Blocks are available for the Small Block Chevrolet platform, as well as the Big Block, and the LS Series engines, providing engines that begin at 327 and peaking at 605 cubic inches of monster big block in a variety of compression ratios for a wide range of applications.
Stock block and cast crank units are also available for those that request them. Also, cylinder head and attendant components are available, along with custom designed camshafts, to round out your VPE performance engine.
Ford Short Blocks are available for the 8.200 302/5.0L platform, the 9.200 Cleveland, and the 9.500 Block 351 Windsor, providing engines that begin at 302 and peaking at 454 cubic inches of monster small block in a variety of compression ratios for a wide range of applications.
