Dish top pistons in a 400 cubic inch Chevrolet engine will generally provide compression ratios in the 9.25:1 or 10.25:1 range which makes them a good option for engines using boost and aluminum heads where use of pump gas is required. Valve reliefs are configured to work with most types of standard and aluminum cylinder heads and will normally fit camshafts to over .650 valve lift.
